Artist Biography
Eleny Shai™ is a visionary Dominican Pop artist and healing guide whose music and creative work inspire self-love, emotional freedom, and spiritual empowerment. Born in the Dominican Republic, Eleny’s journey into music began at the age of eight, with her first nationally aired performance featuring two covers during a regional Father’s Day event.
In her early years, she nurtured her artistic talents through classical ballet training at Alina Abreu and musical theater at AFA. She developed her vocal skills in school choirs, private lessons, and music electives throughout middle school. At just 13, she contributed as a music and lyric arranger in the prestigious national contest Temas Musicales Sobre la Constitución Dominicana.
During high school, Eleny emerged as a creative leader — choreographing for school events, organizing performances, and producing her first ticketed concert in 2017. This milestone inspired her to begin writing original music and exploring music technology. At 17, she produced her first live concert, Expect the Unexpectable, to fundraise for her graduating class, blending comedy and music into a dynamic show.
Her pursuit of music brought her to the Community College of Philadelphia, where she studied Music Performance during the pandemic. This time became a foundation for growth, as she refined her English fluency, deepened her understanding of music theory, and advanced her production skills.
In February 2023, she returned to the stage with the cover band Bonita Parade, performing throughout Philadelphia’s nightlife scene. She also joined the rock-metal band YokoRsh, collaborating on her original EP. Eleny has contributed writing and vocals to various Latin and urban music projects, culminating in the release of her debut single with renowned producer JOX on March 10, 2023, and the full album End to the Empire with YokoRsh on May 17, 2024.
Alongside her artistic journey, Eleny has spent the last two years guiding others through performance and creative coaching, helping artists connect deeply with their voice, presence, and purpose. Her own healing path through emotional struggle and sensitivity has fueled her mission to create safe, transformative spaces through music.
Her debut solo album, Spiraling to You, released on January 3, 2025, followed by the empowering single We Are Our Destiny, reflects her signature blend of soul, healing, and artistic depth.
